• Helene!

Hurricane Helene came through WNC on September 27, 2024. It was devasting! So much loss and sadness. My artwork in the RAD was destroyed by flooding. Flooding to the rafters of Foundation Studios. Classes were canceled or postponed. But we will rebuild together! The support is tremendous! I am truly grateful ❣️

  I am thrilled to see that people are gravitating to creative outlets more than ever. Art making is a great stress reliever. Research shows that it can provide a healthy balance in our lives. Create art and be well!

• Painting with Papers
  A fun Mixed Media class... Create a unique collage using specialty papers, pictures and memorabilia. Design an interesting image of a memorable experience, a special someone or a favorite place. I provide all the basic art supplies. Just bring a few personal items to make your collage more meaningful to you. You'll walk away with a finished piece.

• Images with Words
  Visual Poems ~ also called Shape Poems or Concrete Poems. Or sometimes called Calligrams. I began creating Visual Poems unintentionally. One night I started writing random phrases. The words I wrote morphed into an image! So I created more and more visual poems using my cursive handwriting. And I am happy to say that my handwriting has always been complimented. I have received several commissions for Images with Words! I also offer Visual Poem workshops. The process is cathartic and inspiring.
